Being active and staying in shape have always been priorities of mine. I trained to run a marathon over the course of several years. When I first decided to take up running, I could barely run a mile. Gradually I was able to add on distance, running 5ks, 10ks, half marathons, a 25k, and eventually a full 26.2 mile marathon! Aside from running I also enjoy cycling, yoga, kickboxing, hiking, kayaking, and pretty much anything outside.
By making yoga and meditation a daily practice of mine, I’ve noticed a significant decrease in stress, experience better focus, and can complete work more efficiently throughout the day. I generally mediate upon waking, before checking any emails, my phone for updates, and before my mind has the chance to start thinking about all the things I need to do that day. Daily stretching and weekly yoga, allows me to maintain flexibility and balance.
Also included in this section are my recommendations for DIY beauty. To both cut costs and ensure I’m putting a healthy product on my body, I try to make hair and skin products from scratch.
